Incessant left ventricular tachycardia of unusual etiology

Apart from Coronary artery disease, left ventricular tachycardia may result from cardiac sarcoidosis, left ventricular tumor, chagas disease and idiopathic left ventricular tachycardia. We report a rare case of incessant left ventricular tachycardia resulting from left dominant arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy.

Incessant ventricular tachycardia

Among the side effects of adenosine, excitatory actions on ventricular automaticity enhanced by low concentrations of adenosine and the discharge of catecholamines are reported. The majority of adenosine-induced ventricular tachycardias (VTs) are rare, transient, not requiring further interventions and usually originate in the inferior left ventricular septum [1]. Since the coronary arteries sh...

Bidirectional ventricular tachycardia of unusual etiology

Bidirectional ventricular tachycardia (BDVT) is a rare form of ventricular arrhythmia, characterized by changing QRS axis of 180 degrees. Digitalis toxicity is considered as commonest cause of BDVT; other causes include aconite toxicity, myocarditis, myocardial infarction, metastatic cardiac tumour and cardiac channelopathies. We describe a case of BDVT in a patient with Anderson-Tawil syndrome.

Cardiomyopathy induced by incessant fascicular ventricular tachycardia.

A 12-year-old girl with symptoms of fatigue, decreased exercise tolerance and progressive dyspnea (New York Heart Association functional class III) with a possible diagnosis of dilated cardiomyopathy secondary to viral myocarditis. Because of incessant wide QRS tachycardia refractory to antiarrhythmic drugs, she was referred for electrophysiological study. The diagnosis was idiopathic left vent...

Incessant slow bundle branch reentrant ventricular tachycardia in a young patient with left ventricular noncompaction.

A 15-year-old girl was admitted to the cardiology outpatient clinic due to mild palpitations and documented incessant slow ventricular tachycardia (VT) with left bundle branch block (LBBB) pattern. The baseline electrocardiogram revealed first-degree atrioventricular block and intraventricular conduction defect. Transthoracic echocardiography showed prominent trabeculae and intertrabecular rece...
